About The George Hotel

Built on the site of the British Residential Commissioner, Sir Charles Saunders's residency. Originally Tavernors then The Provincial Hotel. Land was aquired in 1896 and present Hotel Built in 1906 adjacent the Great 300 hectare Dlinza Forest.

Our 27 bedrooms can accommodate sixty five guests...

Original 100 year old Victorian Design Hotel rooms with Orgeon pine floors and doors, newly renovated, Aircon, TV - DSTV.

Rooms 1 - 15 has 11 Standard size twin bedrooms with showers and baths. 1 Standard size double en suite and 2 Deluxe Double rooms en suite. Our new John Dunn wing is loaded with wonderful contemporaty Zulu art and history. These have been designed and decorated by Peter Engeblom and top KZN decorators.

Rooms 16 - 26 has 2 Standard double bedrooms with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, 4 Triple rooms with double bed and single en-suite bathroom, 2 Delux single rooms, 2 Standard size twin bedrooms with showers and baths and 1 Family room of 2 twins and one double.
