About Aloe Cabins

The farm today is a modern commercial farming operation comprising 225ha of irrigated orchards and dairy pastures. Farming in partnership, brothers Charles and Steve Marais together with their families and a team of dedicated employees see to the day to day running of Huguenot Farms.

Rooms

At Aloe Cabins we offer a choice between two semi-detached self-catering cabins, Gwarri and Num Num.

Both cabins have a fully equipped kitchenette, TV/DSTV with selected channels, board games. En-suite bathroom with shower and bath. Wooden deck. Braai area and communal swimming pool. Linen, towels, tea, coffee, fresh farm milk and braai wood provided.

Location

Aloe Cabins is situated on a beautiful farm in the Barkley Bridge area of Addo, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Set on the banks of the Sundays River, Aloe Cabins is an hours drive form Port Elizabeth and a mere 20 Km from the Big 5 Game Reserve, Addo Elephant National Park.

There are a host of activities that are offered at Aloe Cabins

Hiking through the Bushveld Flower Reserve located at Aloe Cabins where you will find an abundance of bird life for the Birders. Guided walks thorugh the Bushveld Flower Reserve can are available through prior arrangement. Scenic walks through orchards and pastures of a working farm are also offered. Fishing in the farm dams and rivers can also be arranged or canoeing (canoe for hire) down the Sundays River where you will also encounter a wide variety of bird life.  Horse riding available at a fee, for experienced riders only.

Available, at your own expense is a trip to the Big 5 Game Reserve, Addo Elephant National Park which is a mere 20km from Aloe Cabins or the Addo Raptor and Reptile Centre which is 12.5 km from Aloe Cabins.
